This proved to be an engaging conference informing policy direction whilst giving context and real life examples of its application. Student LD nurses from Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) and Edinburgh Napier University (ENU) together with their mentors from across Scottish Health boards and Isla McGlade, Clinical Academic, GCU, listened to the independent journeys and the value of Learning Disability Nurses in the Independent sector. This was an opportunity for sharing best practice, highlighting routes into nursing and career options.
